Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers in Kansas City and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Load and unload cargo using dock cards or forklifts when necessary.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for logbook compliance.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and travel long distances.
