Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes throughout the Columbus area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs (Driver's Daily Log) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route deviations.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate travel.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong time management skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
