Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on regional and local routes throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers during pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and hazardous materials handling.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible hours and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
