Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate delivery routes in Philadelphia, PA, and surrounding Virginia areas efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules and issues.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
