Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service by delivering goods in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
