Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Trucks, Trailers, or Tankers) safely and efficiently across the OKC metro area and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper securement to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and daily logs in strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the Apex Logistics brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of Oklahoma.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating vehicle controls for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
