Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on local and regional delivery routes in and around Miami, FL.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, adhering to weight limits and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic logging device (ELD) and ensure hours of service (HOS) are met.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Florida.
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical abilities test.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo securement.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
