Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing techniques are used.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logs at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and regulations.
- Navigate Portland and regional routes with precision, meeting delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and customer service excellence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as required.
