Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers and straight trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and ensure all logs are compliant with Hours of Service regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff to resolve issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while navigating various routes across the state.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and hazardous materials handling if applicable.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid US passport or Social Security card.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
