Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A) in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and identify potential issues.
- Deliver freight on time and in perfect condition, adhering to designated routes and schedules.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates, delays, or issues.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation purposes.
