Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks on assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weight and securing loads according to FMCSA standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of US geography and navigation tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
