Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) on designated routes in and around Austin, TX.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DVIR) and manage delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience with flatbed, dry van, or tanker preferred.
