Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all required paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes, delays, or cargo issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Physical.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and cargo securement rules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
