Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, following all safety protocols and weight regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and a current DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.
