Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport goods to designated delivery locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure the safety of the driver and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new routes.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic math and reading skills for cargo documentation.
