Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver cargo to designated destinations in the Seattle area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and blocks to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (per DOT regulations).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and background check.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and customer service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different routes and cargo types.
- Basic English proficiency for communication purposes.
