Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo delivery, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
