Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no recent DUI or reckless driving violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle adjustments.
