Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure proper handling.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) logs and delivery documents.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
