Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers (Class A CDL) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, using forklifts or hand jacks while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure full compliance with DOT regulations.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected against damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Drug Screen certification (clear test results).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and pass a pre-employment physical assessment.
