Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) to maintain accurate driver's logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel regionally.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
