Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and stay within legal driving hour limits.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on schedule and in excellent condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License required (Georgia or interstate).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
