Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, ELD) and paperwork for all trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to strict safety standards to minimize accidents and ensure a clean driving record.
- Drive in all weather conditions and varying terrains with a professional attitude.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Basic math skills for calculating distances and fuel costs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Current Medical Card (if applicable).
