Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Verify and document cargo as it is loaded and unloaded to prevent loss or damage.
- Practice strict adherence to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical fitness.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD).
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Illinois roadways and traffic laws.
- Basic math skills for making change and documenting mileage.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
