Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B delivery trucks in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and complete vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) before and after shifts.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, resolving any issues or questions on the route.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Class A preferred).
- Current DOT Medical Card and valid DOT physical examination certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred for Class A).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to read and understand maps, GPS systems, and delivery manifests.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
