Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A diesel trucks and commercial vans to transport goods to various delivery destinations.
- Route Management: Efficiently plan and follow delivery routes to ensure on-time arrivals and optimal fuel consumption.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise using proper equipment, ensuring cargo security and organization.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handling documentation, and resolving delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must possess a valid and current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean DMV record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and possess the physical stamina required for long-haul driving.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELD).
