Job Summary
We are currently filling multiple Immediate Hire positions for Delivery Drivers. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight from our terminals to customer locations across Ohio and North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated customer sites on or before the promised delivery time.
- Handle customer interactions professionally and resolve delivery issues on the spot.
- Keep the cargo area clean and secure throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent DUIs or serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing in and out of the cab frequently.
