Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight to customers in the Ohio region and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging device (ELD) usage, mileage reports, and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading, resolving any issues professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights as needed.
