Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated commercial and residential locations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks or pallet jacks, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and warehouse personnel at delivery sites.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for handling invoices and petty cash.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
