Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in local and regional delivery areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and DOT drug screen on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations and fuel management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
