Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver freight to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (Hazmat or Tanker endorsements a plus).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
