Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on all roadways.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and manage delivery schedules to meet strict deadlines.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of roadways in California and the Bay Area.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage and cargo weight.
