Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner in and around the Portland metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight safely, adhering to all weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation (Bill of Lading, manifests).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Must have CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT compliance requirements.
