Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to local customers in the San Jose area and surrounding regions.
- Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded safely and efficiently at each destination.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) is required.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
