Responsibilities
- Safely Load and Unload: Secure cargo using straps and binders, ensuring all safety protocols are met before departure.
- Route Management: Follow GPS navigation and delivery logs to ensure timely and accurate drop-offs.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in top condition.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients to resolve any delivery issues and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Medical Card: Must possess a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
- Clean Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a commercial driving role.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use handheld devices for navigation.
