Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks on regional routes within Kansas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adapt to dynamic delivery schedules while maintaining on-time performance
- Comply with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients using telematics systems
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in route navigation and electronic logbook management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times (4:00 AM)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
