Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in optimal operating condition and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring goods are protected from damage during transit using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering freight on time, communicating delays effectively, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers (dry van, reefer, or flatbed).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
