Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe, timely, and legally compliant manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing straps.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers in the DC area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) or DOT Medical Card.
- 2+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local roads, including the DC Beltway and surrounding areas.
- Professional communication skills and a strong work ethic.
