Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight safely and on time to designated locations.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to FMCSA regulations.
- Secure cargo properly and adhere to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and all required DOT paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure safety for yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (clean driving record preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
