Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner across assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic dispatch systems at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Represent Apex Logistics professionally at customer facilities and during roadside inspections.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Previous experience in long-haul or regional truck driving preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management skills.
