Job Overview
We are looking for safe, professional drivers to transport goods across the East Coast. If you are tired of erratic schedules and low pay, Apex Logistics is the place to park your rig.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers (Class A) safely and efficiently across North Carolina and surrounding regions.
- Inspect pre-trip and post-trip vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and hours of service (HOS).
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate tie-downs and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
