Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and prevent breakdowns.
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional routes throughout Ohio and surrounding states.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to all weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel to resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the State of Ohio.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Class A).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Ability to pass a physical examination demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
