Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in excellent condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and keep logbooks up to date.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve any delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving history with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo up to 50 lbs as needed.
