Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight safely and efficiently within the Charlotte region and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly and load/unload freight using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to safety.
