Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicle (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently to deliver freight across the Midwest region.
- Inspect vehicle for mechanical defects and ensure all safety equipment is in working order before and after trips.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
