Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on regional routes throughout the DC metropolitan area.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT) and DOT Physical.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties associated with the job.
