As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight across the Northeast corridor. We offer a modern fleet, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes within the DC, MD, and VA area.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
