Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and ensure full compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring securement of freight to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers and verify delivery orders with signatures.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or roadside incidents immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement techniques and DOT regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
