Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner on all highway and local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and cargo handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
