Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Cargo Handling: Secure and inspect cargo properly to ensure it arrives at the destination safely and intact.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily logs, delivery receipts, and mileage using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, loading dock personnel, and team members to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (or permit if company training is available).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb in and out of the truck frequently, and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience: Prior driving experience is a plus, but we offer training for motivated candidates seeking no experience jobs.
